Doug Bowles, Tenor

A featured performer with numerous operas and musical theatres,  Doug has performed stage works locally with the Annapolis Opera, Opera Americana, The Other Opera Company, The Victorian Lyric Opera and The Washington Savoyards. He performs children's opera with The Unidentified Flying Opera Company as well as with Kinder Opera Theatre, Creative Opera Ensemble and The Other Opera Company. In addition to his operatic performances, Doug has sung choral music and oratorio locally with American University, The Catholic University of America, The Paul Hill Chorale, and the Thomas Circle Singers and internationally with the Bahamian National Chorale and the Department of Defense. Some of his favorite roles include Camille de Rosillon in Lehar's The Merry Widow, Jenik in Smetana's The Bartered Bride, and Henrik in Sondheim's A Little Night Music and Elijah with the American University Chorus and Orchestra

 

In addtion to his classical oriented performances, the versatile Mr. Bowles sings 20's - 30's jazz with  his own ensemble, the SingCo Rhythm Orchestra.  Go to Doug's website to hear music clips of this great jazz band.
